On behalf of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, a statue of Bharat Ratna, the architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar was erected at Sector 15 Airoli near the Airoli-Mulund Bay Bridge. The grandest monument of Babasaheb Ambedkar is being called as a monument of knowledge that evokes the inspiring thoughts of Babasaheb Ambedkar.


It has a well-equipped library with modern e-library facilities, a gallery of rare photographs depicting the life of Babasaheb, a holographic presentation that gives a real experience of Babasaheb's speech. This memorial has created a place of respect and affection in the hearts of the people in the last one and a half years due to its excellent facilities like a grand Dhyanagriha (Meditation Center), state-of-the-art auditorium. Every person who comes here is overwhelmed and everyone urges many people they come in contact to visit this memorial.


Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial is open for citizens from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. For the maintenance of the memorial, now it will be closed on 1 day of the week i.e. Monday for proper maintenance. Citizens will not be charged any kind of entry fee for entry to the memorial and taking food items into the memorial is prohibited.

On December 5, 2021, on the eve of Babasaheb Ambedkar's Mahaparinirvana Day, the memorial was opened to the public with the blessing of Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of the state of Maharashtra and the then Thane District Guardian Minister. Since then, 1,77,373 citizens have registered and visited this memorial in the period of 1 year 7 months 10 days i.e. 589 days. Especially on Saturdays and Sundays there is a large influx of citizens to see the memorial.
