Imports of foreign red apples have increased in the Mumbai agricultural produce market. Currently these apples are available in the retail market at a rate of INR 200 per kg.
Currently, various fruits are entering the market. Foreign apples have entered the market and are being purchased in large quantities. Apple season has started now. So the inflow has started. Foreign apples are being sold at INR 200 per kg.

These apples are mainly imported from Turkey, South Africa, America and New Zealand. Although slightly less sweet than Indian apples, these apples are gaining popularity among consumers due to their tartness and crispness. At present, 700 to 1000 boxes are coming in daily and as the weather is not long, the inflow may decrease in two to three weeks.
