Innocent lives were lost due to drunk driving in Pune. So Drunk and Drive has become a topic of discussion now. In accordance with the same, Navi Mumbai RTO started the action on Monday by undertaking a special campaign called Drunk and Drive Action. However, no drunk and drive cases have been found but action has been taken against the vehicles found with other faults.
Turbhe, Belapur, Nerul on Sion Panvel highway in Navi Mumbai city have a lot of traffic. Navi Mumbai RTO department has undertaken a special campaign called Drunk and Drive Action to prevent such incidents from happening in Navi Mumbai city. Action has been taken against as many as 11 vehicles in one day on Monday.

The drivers of two-wheelers, four-wheelers, tempo rickshaws etc. have been checked. But this included illegal transport vehicles. Action has been taken against such vehicles without helmet, triple seat, no vehicle license, no qualification certificate, illegal passenger transport as well as carrying more passengers than the capacity of the vehicle.
