Speaking at the occasion Sandeep Guduru, Facility Director-Fortis Hiranandani Hospital, Vashi said, “A pivotal measure to beat the COVID-19 pandemic is to ensure that maximum citizens get vaccinated at the earliest. With this initiative, we hope to help get people vaccinated without crowding the vaccination centres. We must remember that the vaccine provides immunity, if you do get infected, it ensures the severity of the infection is reduced. Therefore, this is our best defence alongside other measures like masking, sanitization and social distancing. With the help of the local municipal corporation, we have devised stringent SOPs for the community vaccination drive. I would like to express gratitude to the authorities of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation for extending support”.

The community vaccination program is expected to extend to more housing complexes to cover more and more people. The hospital has taken a holistic approach to improve awareness amongst the community about the effectiveness of vaccination and encourage them to get the required defence against coronavirus, he added.

Also, to ensure that the vaccination process is done with complete adherence to all the municipal corporation’s norms, the hospital along with the Moraj Society has devised processes that will help people get the vaccine without any crowding. This initiative also rids people of the fear of coming to the hospital to get their vaccine.
