Zoo to welcome wild buddies from overseas?

Byculla - Someone told me it's all happening at the zoo.
Indeed, the Jijamata Udyan, aka the Byculla zoo is all set to welcome new buddies. The tall giraffe, the striped zebra, the ostrich, the kangaroo, the cheetah and many more wild animals will soon be spotted in our very own Rani Baug, competing for attention  with the now famous Humboldt penguins, which we might remind you, are going to set you back a hundred bucks per visit if the civic corporation has its way.
An application requesting the said exotic animals has already been sent to the Central Zoo Authority by the BMC, we learn.
Sanjay Tripathi, supervisor of the Byculla Zoo told Mumbai Live,"We have not received any response as of now from the Authority, but we are set to give the zoo a facelift."
True, the Zoo doesn't have to get bigger. It can just get better.
