RTO Mumbai releases new series of numbers for registration of two-wheelers

MH03EM series for two-wheelers is expiring at Regional Transport Office, Mumbai (East). Therefore, a new series of registration numbers MH03EN will be introduced for two-wheelers.

Vehicle owners who wish to reserve an attractive or preferred registration number for their vehicles from this new number series must submit an application in the prescribed format, address proof, photo ID, PAN card and preferred number to the Regional Transport Office Mumbai (East) must be deposited or submit the prescribed fee along with a nationalised bank draft drawn in favour of RTO, Mumbai (East) in the office of Regional Transport Office, Mumbai (East) by 2:00 pm on May 2, 2024.

In case of more than one application for the same registration number, as per Maharashtra Government notification dated 8 May 2016, the registration number will be given to the one who submits the bank statement of the highest amount in addition to the regular fees. The process of providing attractive and preferred registration numbers has been posted on the notice board of this office. Regional Transport Officer Vinay Ahire has appealed to vehicle owners to apply in person at the office to avoid fraud by unauthorised persons.
