To carry out maintenance work of tracks, signaling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo Block of three hours will be taken o­n UP Fast lines from 23.50 hrs to 02.50 hrs and Down Fast lines from 01.30 hrs to 04.30 hrs between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, i.e. o­n May 9-10, 2022.

According to an official statement released by Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railways (WR), during the block period Train No. 09101 Virar-Bharuch MEMU will be delayed 15 minutes and hence will depart from Virar at 04:50 hrs instead of its scheduled departure at 04:35 hrs.

Besides, there was no mega block in day time over Western Railways Suburban section this Sunday, May 8.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, causing major inconvenience to the office-goers, who commute by Mumbai local, on the first working day of the week, Monday, May 9, all train services were delayed between both the stations by 10-15 minutes due to technical glitch.

In addition, the Mumbai Division of Central Railways (CR) has increased the price of platform tickets, which came into effect from today, May 9, in order to control the crowd and curb misuse of alarm chain pulling (ACP) in the summer season.
