Navi Mumbai civic body comes up with a 21-day cleanliness challenge

NMMC hopes to get a huge response for the challenge, which is open to all the residents of Navi Mumbai. It will end on March 11, 2021. Moreover, Navi Mumbai was awarded as India’s third cleanest city, as per the results of Swachh Survekshan 2020.

With an aim to rope in the citizens in the cleanliness drive, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has come up with a unique 21-day challenge. In this, citizens will be required to follow five cleanliness activities daily for 21 days.

The tasks include waste segregation, waste composition, no plastic usage, adoption of 3 Rs (Recycle, Reuse, Reduce) and taking selfies with sarvekshan slogans. The residents have to click photos and videos while doing the tasks and upload the same on their Facebook or Instagram accounts with #21dayschallenge #swachhnavimumbai and tag the civic body @NMMCOnline.

The challenge, which started on February 19 is a part of preparedness for the Cleanliness Survey 2021.

To make it more interesting, each activity posted on social media would carry 20 marks each and will be calculated for 21 days. The person who receives the highest marks will be given prizes. In addition, some bonus action tasks will be given to the participating contestants over a period of one week.

The highest scorer will be given an iPhone 12 Mini as a prize. Besides more than 20 other attractive prizes will be given to people participating in this. The winners will get an opportunity to meet the well-known singer, composer, Shankar Mahadevan at a musical night.

NMMC hopes to get a huge response for the challenge, which is open to all the residents of Navi Mumbai. It will end on March 11, 2021.

Moreover, Navi Mumbai was awarded as India’s third cleanest city, as per the results of Swachh Survekshan 2020 in cities with a population of more than 10 lakhs.
