Safety measures for firefighter teams

In the year 2015, Fact finding committee made 30 points report and handed over to BMC stating that firefighters should not be called in case of bird is stuck in electric wires, or oil spilled on road or when a tree is collapsed on the car. Even the state government has replied to this letter accepting the fact saying that either they should not call for this type of work or they should be given more safety gears.

As fire brigade team does not have enough safety measures many times working in such situations takes a toll on firefighters.

Earlier in an incident of freeing a bird which was stuck in the electric wire the fire brigade officer died of electric shock. Firefighters often get injured while working on an issue like this.
