Water is supplied through the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation in Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, Majiwada-Manpada and Wagle (some areas) Ward Committees in the Thane Municipal Corporation area. Under the water supply scheme of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation, urgent repair work was undertaken from Katai Naka to Shali Tank of Barvi Gravity Channel on Thursday. Because of which, there will be no water supply for 24 hours from Thursday, February 22 at 12:00 pm to Friday 23 till 12.00 pm.
During the said shutdown period, Diva, Mumbra (except part of Ward No. 26 and 31) and Kalwa Ward Committee under Thane Municipal Corporation and Rupadevi Pada, Kisan Nagar No.2 in Wagle Ward Committee, Nehrunagar as well as Kolshet Khalcha Village under Manpada Ward Committee will be completely shut down for 24 hours. Citizens should please note that water supply will be at low pressure for the next 1 to 2 days after the water supply starts.
Also, the water supply department of the municipality has appealed to use water sparingly and cooperate with the Thane Municipal Corporation during the period of water shortage.
