On the occasion of this year's Gauri Ganpati festival, the government has decided to distribute 'Anandacha Shidha' to 1 crore 70 lakh 82 thousand 86 ration card holders of the state. Available at a discounted rate of INR 100 per set, the 'Anandacha Shidha set will include 1 kg of semolina, chana dal, sugar and 1 litre of soybean oil. This 'Anandacha Shidha' will be distributed from August 15, 2024 to September,15, 2024.

Under the state's public distribution system, 14 farmers of Above Poverty Line (APL) orange ration card holders, along with Food Scheme and Priority Family ration card holders from all districts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Amravati divisions, in Wardha of Nagpur division, committed suicide. Those who are suffering will get the benefit of this 'Anandacha Shidha' set.
INR 562.51 crore has been sanctioned for the purchase of 1 ration set per ration card. This set will be distributed through the e-POS system.
