A person was reported dead on Sunday due to a cylinder blast at MHB colony in Malvani, Malad. Along with this, a few people were reported injured in the incident which took place around 9:00 in the morning.
According to Mumbai Fire Brigade, Manju Anand (35) was pulled out from the debris and was rushed to the hospital. However, the victim was declared dead.
The injured were identified as Sheetal Kate (44), Siddhesh Gote (19), Mamata Pawar (22) and Ashwini Jadhav (26) and were admitted at Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali.

"Two of the injured persons in the blast were discharged after treatment. Another two injured are being monitored - One of the injured has 80 per cent burns while another is suffering from 15 per cent," a doctor at the hospital said.
