Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Western Railway are always at the forefront to protect and secure the lives of passengers. In continuation to this, RPF WR has launched a special drive for effective control of unauthorized travel by passengers in Ladies coaches and coaches earmarked for Divyang passengers in suburban trains.

According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, in pursuance of the efforts of RPF to curb the menace of unauthorised travelling and ensure safe and hassle-free travel for the ladies and divyang passengers, the RPF of Western Railway launched a 07-day special drive from October 5 to 11, 2023, against passengers travelling in ladies and divyang coaches. During this drive, about 730 persons were arrested for unauthorised travelling in coaches earmarked for divyang passengers and almost 200 persons were arrested for travelling in ladies coaches unauthorisedly.

RPF of WR is committed to ensuring safety and security of the passengers and has achieved stellar results with their efforts and dedication.
