Residents have complained to the police, who have initiated action on Thursday morning and cleared the area of the illegal vegetable sellers.
Resident Parul Pereira told Mumbai Live, "On the false pretext of selling fresh vegetables, the hawkers started capturing the corners illegally. Very often we were unable to walk freely on the road due to congestion caused by the vans parked across the road."
The big question that arises is - If the residents of such prominent places are suffering from hawkers' woes, what about the rest of Mumbaikars, who stay amidst the hustle and bustle of hawkers 24*7?
