Kumbharwada - The residents of C-ward are facing the tough time because of polluted water supply. The water pipelines have become old and need to be cleaned.
Due to the corroded water pipelines, the sewage line is mixing with potable water pipeline.
Earlier under the supervision of local Corporator Yugandhara Salekar, underground water tanks had been set up in Durga Devi ground but citizens have reported that these tanks have never been used.
Social worker Deepak Kadam has raised the stink questioning the reason for setting up these tanks & why are the not in use if the work was completed? The residents are suffering due to this problem from past five years, and are expecting this issue to be sorted out before the BMC polls.
