On Tuesday, July 5, morning an electrician's (37) motorbike bumped into a pothole on Thane's waterlogged Ghodbunder Road, causing him to be crushed to death by a state transport bus, reports stated.
According to accounts, motorists have been complaining of potholes on the Ghodbunder Road. These potholes are believed to have increased following the heavy rainfall activity over the last two days.
Based on narratives, Mohnish Khan, a resident of Mumbra was going to a construction site in Mumbai where he had attained a contract for electrical work. While he is reported to have been wearing a helmet, when the bike reached Kajupada on Ghodbunder Road, he hit a pothole and fell on the street.

It has been reported that he got crushed under the front wheels of a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus that was headed towards Borivali.
Narratives suggest that Khan's helmet was thrown at a distance and he died on the spot. The bus driver is claimed to have fled, leaving the vehicle and passengers.
Further, traffic police on duty took Khan to a hospital where he was declared dead before admission. Khan's body is stated to be flown to Uttar Pradesh, his hometown where his parents reside.
The police have booked the bus driver under the relevant sections of the IPC and the Motor Vehicles Act reports remark.
