
The Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will undertake a special traffic and power block between Asangaon and Tanshet stations from June 6 (Saturday) to June 7 (Sunday) to commission a new electronic interlocking system at Atgaon station and remove the old signalling panel.
The block will be in effect from 2:00 pm on June 6 to 3:00 am on June 7, impacting both long-distance and suburban train operations. The railway administration has announced multiple cancellations, short terminations, diversions, and rescheduling of trains.

Several long-distance trains including CSMT–Howrah Mail, CSMT–Amritsar Express, CSMT–Gorakhpur Special, LTT–Shalimar Express, LTT–Banaras Superfast, LTT–Patliputra Express, LTT–Hatia Express, and LTT–Gorakhpur Kushinagar Express will be rescheduled and depart several hours late from CSMT or LTT on June 6–7.

Officials clarified that no mega block will be carried out on the CSMT–Kalyan main line section during this period. Railway authorities have advised passengers to check revised schedules before travel and plan accordingly due to widespread disruptions.
