A video posted by Central Railway’s DRM (Divisional Regional Manager) Mumbai, has detailed the bravery of one of its employees at the Vangani Railway Station.
The video shows a child losing its balance and falling onto the track with a train speeding ahead. Almost immediately, the employee, Mayur Shelke, was seen running on the tracks and lifting up the child before making his way up in the nick of time.

Officials confirmed that the incident took place on Platform 2 of the station. Union Minister of Railways also posted the video on his Twitter feed, adding “Very proud of Mayur Shelke, Railwayman from the Vangani Railway Station in Mumbai who has done an exceptionally courageous act, risked his own life & saved a child's life.”
