Amidst the recent viral video of preparation of unhygienic lemon juice at Kurla station which led to Central Railway banning the sale of lemon and other artificial juices at Mumbai's central stations, Railways has fallen into the clasp of another viral video and this time it’s in Bandra.

Western Railway has imposed a fine of ₹10,000 on an eatery on platform number 2 at Bandra station after a video of a rat moving inside the stall went viral on social media on Saturday. The video was put out on Twitter by a user in which the rat is seen climbing a bottle in a cabinet above which chocolates and ingredients to prepare bhel in a separate section were kept. WR's chief PRO, Ravinder Bhakar, said that besides closure for deep-cleaning and pest control, fine of ₹10,000 is being imposed.

Western Railway on Sunday started carrying out raids at all food counters at stations. The railways has decided to shut the food stalls violating hygiene norms, penalise the owners and initiate inquiries against them.
