Vile Parle- BMC is avoiding the redevelopment project of the vegetable market which is situated on the ground floor of Dinaanath Mangeshkar Theatre academy. BMC had decided to redevelop the market on 4,331 sq feet land and for this Dinanath Mangeshkar Municipal Market Vyapari Sangh association was also organised. More than 70% licence holders had submitted letter for the approval. Last year, Rs. 14 crores were spent for the repair work for which Dinanath Mangeshkar thetare was kept closed which upset people. So now BMC is giving the reason of not carrying out repair work as the move will make people upset. Meanwhile, SS and BJP are up for the redevelopment.
