Palghar District Guardian Minister and State Agriculture Minister Dadaji Bhuse, on Tuesday, October 21, 2020, directed the agencies in the district to work towards reducing pollution and accidents in Boisar and Tarapur industrial areas. He asked them to work effectively in coordination thereby put additional efforts in reducing the same over the next few months

This message was shared by the minister at a meeting held at the Ministry to review various problems related to pollution, accidents, sewage treatment plants, etc. in the industrial areas of Palghar District Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation's Boisar, Vasai and Tarapur. Present at the meeting were District Collector of Palghar Manik Gursal, Deputy Commissioner of Labor, Officers of Industrial Safety Board, Sub Divisional Officer of Palghar DS Nerkar along with officers of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, and officials of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation.

Sharing more information, he said that the government has permitted people to resume work, despite the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown. Therefore, it is necessary to make immediate efforts to control the pollution created in these industrial estates, thereby ensure workers' safety. Strict action will be taken against the departments responsible for the previous accidents in this industrial estate and warnings will be issued to make sure they are not repeated in the future.

Officials from the concerned department have also been directed to take action against factories that do not comply with pollution control standards, and the same will be effective until next month. Furthermore, the minister also encouraged a tree-planting campaign to reduce pollution in this industrial estate.
