Mumbai - The state election commission (SEC) had received as many as 629 objections regarding ward delimitations in the BMC. The SEC has taken note of only 28 objections and accordingly changed the delimitations of only 30 wards, informed RTI activist Anil Galgali who received this information under the RTI Act. Of the 629 objections, only 266 persons who objected the delimitation, attended the hearing. The SEC granted its nod to only 28 objections and rejected the others. The delimited wards changed after the hearing include 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 75, 86, 95, 96, 104, 107, 108, 124, 126, 127, 128, 132, 143, 145, 156, 157, 163, 164, 187, 189, 191, 192, and 195. Most of the objections in the 28 were from the political leaders including Leader of Opposition Pravin Chheda, improvements committee president Prakash Gangadhare, Pramod Sawant, Harun Khan, Shailaja Girkar, Vishnu Gaikwad, Sudhir Jadhav, Kishori Pednekar and Shrikant Kavthankar.
