With the arrival of monsoon in Mumbai on Friday, the downpour is expected to continue for another 12 to 24 hours. During the same, several vehicles have been destroyed while the problem of waterlogging has also been reported. 

After a wall collapsed in Ekvira Darshan Society in Ghatkopar, five to six vehicles were damaged due to the debris. The incident happened near Jagruti Nagar metro station around 10:00 in the morning. However, no one was injured in this incident. 

In another incident, due to the heavy rainfall on Saturday morning, a tree fell on a car in GTB Nagar. However, no one was injured in the incident but the car was heavily damaged.

From Friday to Saturday morning, nearly 127 mm rainfall was recorded in Mumbai town followed by 170 mm in Western suburb, 197 mm in the eastern suburb of the city. Several areas including Hindmata, Kings Circle, Kurla, Sion, Andheri, Kanjurmarg were affected due to the waterlogging and traffic issue.
