CM Uddhav Thackeray government recently decided to extend the benefit of free Shiv Bhojan Thali until June 14, as it has been helping the poor and needy across the state. The package was announced during the lockdown with an aim to help the various sections of the society during the pandemic.

As per the plan, the poor and needy people of the state were provided free meals under the scheme and the initiative began initially for one month from April 15 onwards. However, with extending lockdown CM Uddhav Thackeray approved the proposal to extend the same for a few more weeks.
