Signature campaign held for ‘traffic free Mumbai’

Mumbai – The Konkan transport wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party recently conducted a signature campaign in Dahisar area to put forward its demand of traffic free Mumbai. President Roshan Shaikh demanded that the number of traffic police should be increased to 30,000 from their present strength of 3,500 personnel. The number of traffic chowkies should also be increased and a committee should be formed to solve the problems faced by traffic department. Shaikh has decided to collect signatures of 5 lakh people and would meet chief minister Devendra Fadnavis under the guidance of MLA Pravin Darekar.
