Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday directed the  Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) to set up a stall for women self-help groups at every bus stand in the state, start Aapla Dawakhana at bus stands in the district and provide stalls at bus stands.


At 10 percent places there are widows and wives of ex-servicemen and disabled people. The Chief Minister approved the introduction of 3,495 ST buses in the corporation in the new year for better convenience of passengers. He also said that the appearance of bus stations should be changed by giving priority to cleanliness. The Chief Minister said that the MSRTC should try to provide quality services to the common citizens of the state through ST. The Chief Minister gave approval to prepare 2200 Saral buses. Due to this, 2200 ready-to-use conversion buses will be in ST's fleet by the end of March 2024. Along with this, in this meeting, approval was also given to take 1295 ordinary buses on lease for 21 different categories of ST.

For women empowerment, the Chief Minister immediately approved the decision to provide stalls to widows of ex-servicemen to sell milk and milk products at 10 percent of the total bus stands in the state and self-help groups at every bus stand. Instructed to give a stall. In this regard, the Chief Minister also gave instructions to prepare a plan after discussing with the Chief Executive Officer of the District Council, Women Economic Development Corporation.
