Soon, a new cycle track and a jogging track will be built in the vicinity of Tansa water pipeline. This will be done by demolishing illegal and legal structures which fall into the 10 meter of the pipeline. The BMC commissioner has asked the water engineer to study about the same and submit the report.

“The Tansa water pipeline is 39 kms long and runs between Mulund to Dharavi and Ghatkopar to Sion.  After the High Court issued orders of demolishing the structures, wards such as T, S, N, M/West, G/North have demolished the structures while the remaining wards such as L, F/North, K/East and H/East wards will soon be demolishing the structures making way for the cycling and jogging track,” said Ramesh Bamble, deputy commissioner, BMC.

The BMC will be building security walls to prevent the encroaching in the 10 meters of Tansa water pipeline. After doing this, they will then build jogging and cycling track.
