Through Pradhan Mantri Awas, Ramai, Shabari, Adim, Modi Gharkul Yojana, financial assistance is provided to the economically weaker sections of tribals, Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes for fixed housing. 13,538 poor families of Thane rural area got their dream house. Chief Executive Officer Chhayadevi Shisode informed that the Central sponsored scheme and State sponsored Gharkul scheme are being successfully implemented.
9,535 houses have been approved in Thane district during the year 2016-17 to 2021-22 under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Rural through the Center sponsored Gharkul Yojana and 8,946 houses have been successfully completed and 93 percent of the work has been completed. It has been planned to complete the remaining 589 houses at the earliest through the District Rural Development System
In the year 2016-17 to 2021-22, the Centre sponsored scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas and in the year 2016-17 to 2022-23 the state sponsored Ramai, Shabari, Adim, Modi Gharkul Yojana have been successfully implemented to complete 13,538 Gharkul.
