Thane: Fire breaks out at Modella Colony

On Tuesday, February 9, a fire was reported from Modella Colony, which is near Mulund Check Naka. As per reports, the fire broke out at a residential building which was under construction in Thane West. The fire fighting operations are going on. So far there have been no casualties reported. This is the third incident of fire that was reported in MMR region today. 

Earlier today, a level two fire broke out in Versova, Mumbai. This incident was reported in a four-storeyed building near the fish market. According to reports, the blaze was reported at around 2:45 pm and was doused at around 3:00 pm. On the other hand, the building in which the fire was caught was reportedly opposite Shiv Sena’s building.

Meanwhile, several shops and stores have reportedly been gutted in the fire, however, no injuries have been reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained as cooling operations are still underway.

On Tuesday afternoon, a major fire was reported in Navi Mumbai at a chemical factory in Taloja area. The incident took place around 12 pm at a chemical company as it spread to other places gradually. As per the locals, blasts were heard from the chemical factory as soon as the fire broke out.
