While the case was fresh of six patients dying due to lack of treatment in Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital of Thane Municipal Corporation, in the last 12 hours i.e. from Saturday night to Sunday morning, another 16 to 17 patients passed away in the hospital during treatment. As soon as this situation came to light, many political party officials visited the hospital. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena office bearer Avinash Jadhav has also immediately reached Kalwa Hospital and asked the administration to answer.

“There is a death spree going on at Kalwa Hospital. The administration and commissioner are responsible for this ordeal. The manner in which patients die suggests that patients are admitted when they are critically ill. A female patient walked into the hospital on July 12 and became critical the next day. It means doctors are not paying attention in Kalwa hospital. That is why patients are dying. And these are left here to die. This death spree must stop. Otherwise, all the administration in Thane will have to suffer for sure", warned Avinash Jadhav.

“A patient becomes critical on arrival in Kalwa hospital, but recovers after being admitted to Jupiter hospital. However, it is not the same at Kalwa hospital, if the patient comes with difficult breathing, he gets serious in no time", said Avinash Jadhav.

“The closure of the civil hospital has put a load on this hospital. But it is the rainy season, patients will come, preparations should have been made in advance. This happens every year. The things that are needed, those facilities cannot be provided. Who are the patients coming to Kalwa Hospital? Rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers, dishwashers. Jadhav also warned that what is the use if they cannot be treated, we will ask the Commissioner for an answer.

Commissioner should take responsibility

Thane Municipal Commissioner should be held responsible for deaths. Avinash Jadhav also said that they will take action as per the requirement if Commissioner fails to take the responsibility.
