Shree Ganesh Visarjan Ghat and Dashakriya Vidhi Ghat near Hinduhriday Samrat Balasaheb Thackeray Chowpatty under the Nagla Bandar Bay Development Project at Ghodbunder Road were inaugurated by MLA Pratap Sarnaik on Wednesday. On the occasion, former chairman of Thane Municipal Standing Committee Sanjay Bhoir, former corporators Sadhana Joshi, Namrata Gharat and Siddharth Owlekar, Smart City CEO and Additional Commissioner of Thane Municipal Corporation (1) Sandeep Malvi and Additional Commissioner (2) Prashant Rode were present.

Local residents have been demanding for many years that Ganesh Visarjan Ghat and Dashakriya Vidhi Ghat should be constructed near Nagla Port at Gaimukh. Accordingly, the Smart City project was developed with grants from the Central Government, State Government and Thane Municipality.
The Thane Municipal Corporation has agreed to the demand of the citizens and provided the facility. This will benefit the citizens of Gaimukh, Kasarvadvali, Ovala, Mogharpada and surrounding areas. Also, the necessary facilities at this place will also be provided through the Thane Municipal Corporation.
