The Majiwada Flyover in Thane will be closed till April 20 between 10 PM and 5 AM.
The city police shared this information via X on April 4, to facilitate the installation of the roof at the ongoing metro station construction site in Thane. The closure is essential for the safe and efficient installation of the station's roof structure.
A statement shared by the Thane Traffic Department said, "From April 5 to April 20, columns will be erected for the roof of the metro station at Majiwada Metro Station, within the Kapurbawadi Traffic Sub-Division. Jack beams will be placed on these columns, and after the jack beams are installed, rafters will be erected."

The work of erecting the roof of Majiwada Metro Station is currently underway. A 60-ton mobile crane, required for the job, will be erected on the main channel of the Majiwada flyover in front of Jupiter Hospital.
This operation will take place on the main channel of the Mumbai-Nashik-Ghodbunder Majiwada bridge, near Jupiter Hospital. As a result, traffic on the Mumbai-Nashik and Ghodbunder roads will be impacted.
Majiwada flyover is a vital link for thousands of vehicles travelling between Thane and Mumbai. All traffic going from Mumbai to Nashik and Ghodbunder on the Majiwada flyover using the Majiwada flyover will be rerouted.
Meanwhile, motorists are advised to follow real-time traffic updates from Thane Traffic Police.
Meanwhile, traffic police has appealed to commuters and motorists to use alternative routes during the closure to avoid inconvenience. Additional traffic personnel will be deployed to manage the diversion of traffic during the closure of Majiwada flyover.

All types of vehicles going from Mumbai to Ghodbunder or Bhiwandi from Majiwada Flyover Bridge via Jupiter Junction near the bifurcation at the beginning of the bridge climb in front of Viviana Mall are closed.
The vehicles will proceed straight ahead via the slip road opposite Jupiter Hospital and reach their destination via Kapurbawdi Circle.
