Areas in Thane District to face water cut for 24 Hours from September 22 to 23

Water supply in several areas across Thane will be disrupted for two days, on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, and Thursday, September 23, 2021, as the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has decided to conduct maintenance on the line. 

As per reports, work will be carried over at the raw water pumping station which will further help in increasing the capacity at the pumping station. Considering the same, TMC has alerted the citizens regarding the water supply which will be reduced for a few days and hence citizens have been asked to cooperate with the use of water.

Similar tests are conducted in different parts of Mumbai to understand if the water is contaminated and necessary work was conducted last year to ensure the supply of the water is increased as per needs. The project is undertaken by the Public Health department where the water engineer checks the quality every year to maintain the level to drinking water. 

Samples are collected from all 24 wards of Mumbai and sent for molecular analysis to the laboratory. Officials like Medical Health Officer, Assistant Engineer Leak Department, Assistant Engineer Section are involved in the same.

Timing: 9am on September 22, 2021 to 9am on September 23, 2021. 

Following areas will face water cut in Thane: Ghodbunder Road, Patalipada, Hiranandani Estate, Brahmand, Vijayangari, Gaimukh, Balkum Samtanagar, Aakruti, Siddeshwar, Johnson, Eternity, Kolshet, and Azadnagar.

Following areas will face water cut in Mumbra: Rutupark, Jail, Rustomjee, Kalwa and Saket
