The water supply department has prepared an action report regarding the metered water bill to the citizens of Thane Municipal Corporation area and henceforth the water bill will be charged as INR 195 per family per month.
 

Shiv Sena Thane District Women's Aghadi Chief Meenakshi Shinde had consistently followed up with the current Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar regarding the water bill. Her pursuit has been successful and the citizens will also get relief.

The water bill was levied by the water supply department of the Thane Municipal Corporation on a metered basis. But as the bills coming to the citizens were in thousands like metres, the citizens were facing financial hardship, Shiv Sena Thane District Mahila Aghadi Chief Meenakshi Shinde pointed out to the present Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and also followed up with the Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar.

As per the instructions given by the Commissioner to the Water Supply Department, the water bill will be levied at the rate of INR 195 per family per month henceforth. This decision will benefit the metre holders of the entire Thane Municipal Corporation area.


In the next eight to ten days, the water metre holders will be notified by the T.M.P. Water payments will be received from the Water Supply Department. Meenakshi Shinde also mentioned that the employees of the water supply department will come to the ward for a whole day to reduce the water bills which were already high and the citizens will be informed about it.
