Thane: TMC razes encroachments and unauthorised constructions

On Monday, action was taken against encroachments and unauthorised constructions in Diva, Kalwa, Majiwada-Manpada Ward Committee Division in Thane Municipal Area. This action has been taken by Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar, Municipal Encroachment Department.

A three-storey structure which comes under Diva ward committee was demolished at M S Compound. Also, plinths of second construction, 2500 sq.ft construction, and 25 columns were demolished. Apart from that, two storey RCC construction, 40 column plinth construction was demolished. The operation was carried out with the help of two Poklens, three JCBs, 50 workers, 40 police personnel and guards.

In Kalwa Ward Committee, the construction of 35 rooms near Swami Samarth Math was demolished with the help of one Poklen, two JCBs, 40 workers, 30 policemen. Meanwhile, a plinth construction was removed at Vitava. One Poklen, two JCBs, 30 workers, 30 policemen were put to work.



In the Majiwada-Manpada Ward Committee, the construction of the fifth and sixth floors of the six-storied RCC structure adjacent to the Balkum cemetery was removed. For this, three tractor breakers, one Poklen, two JCBs, 30 workers and 30 policemen were assisted.

Against unauthorised constructions and encroachments in the municipal area, planned strike action will be taken in a phased manner in all ward committee areas.
