On the occasion of June 26, the International Day of De-addiction, Health Department, Education Department and Social Development Department of Thane Municipal Corporation have taken the initiative to solve the problems of students under the cause foundation (CHILD AND WOMEN SAFETY ENDEAVOR) and various activities will be implemented for de-addiction. This activity has been organised under the direction and guidance of Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar.


In order to create public awareness in the area, a rally has been organised on Monday, June 26, 2023 at 11:00 by the women's self-help group of Kisan Nagar division, and through this rally, the message of a de-addiction will be given.

Likewise around 12:30 pm, an awareness program has been organised for students of 8th to 10th grade of TMC Kisan Nagar School no. 1 and school no. 15. Students of All Saints International Junior College will also be present on this occasion. The aim of this initiative is to create awareness and prevent addiction among students as well as youth. Counsellors of Cause Foundation Kalpana More, Ranjana Waghmare will conduct interactive counselling of the students. Also, question and answer sessions, street plays have been organised to create awareness among students.


Youth will be guided for a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle, focusing on schools and colleges in the city. Additional Commissioner Sandeep Malvi mentioned that this type of activity will be organised in various schools and colleges throughout the year to create awareness among students and youth about addiction.
