A decision was taken to install 'tire killer' on an experimental basis in Thane to prevent accidents and traffic jams caused by driving vehicles in the opposite direction on the road. Such places will be determined by the traffic police. After that, 'tire killers' will be installed there by the municipal corporation.

Municipal Commissioner Rao explained that vehicles coming in the opposite direction will be demotivated due to them.
Measures to keep Ghodbunder Road free from traffic congestion are under continuous review
In the last fifteen days, there has been considerable success in controlling the traffic congestion on Ghodbunder Road. Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao has informed that the measures being taken to get rid of the traffic jam are being continuously reviewed.
In the wake of the meeting held on September 6 to overcome the traffic congestion on Ghodbunder Road and internal roads, a meeting was organised at the Civil Training Center of the Municipal Corporation on Friday once again to consider the measures and problems.
Pankaj Shirsat informed in this meeting that according to the action plan decided in the first meeting to solve the problem of traffic jams on Ghodbunder Road, various systems have coordinated with each other and taken measures. Also, he discussed the current problems and their possible solutions. Shirsat expressed the need to take some measures regarding traffic in the section between Gaymukh Ghat, Bhayander Pada, and Gaymukh.

Cars weighing 150 to 200 tons pass through the Gaymukh Ghat, so the asphalt road is constantly damaged during monsoons. Therefore, the supervising engineer of the Public Works Department informed that there is a need for concreting here. He also clarified that this route has now been transferred to the Mira-Bhayander Municipal Corporation. At the same time, he also said that the road from the Kapurbawdi-Majiwada flyover towards Mumbai from the U-turn to Viviana Mall will be asphalted soon.
There should be small speed bumps
All roads shall be levelled and pothole free. Commissioner Rao explained that the municipal authority will immediately do the work of freeing the service road hawkers, removing the parking lot and fixing the overhead wire.
