Under the law of right to free education (RTE), the third stage of lottery was conducted this Tuesday. The third list includes the names of 2440 students who will be given admission in the schools.
Before this, a lottery was conducted for 7449 seats out of which 1996 got admissions. For the remaining of the seats, another lottery was drawn on 24th Marhc 2017. For 1st standard 679 seats have been filled for admissions where as for primary education 633 seats have been filled. At the same time, 277 seats for the 1st grade from a different board and 72 other seats have been filled up.
Sudhir Paranjape for save subsidized education that the third lottery is not all that fruitful a solution. Quite few a seats have been filled in the third lottery. Hence, a lot of students are being deprived of their rights of RTE.
