Meanwhile, November 2020 was among the warmest months in a decade for Mumbai. Though, in early November, the city witnessed a dip in the temperature, which rose back up soon after Diwali. Also, for the first time in this season, Mumbaikars saw a low temperature as 19 degree Celsius in the mornings in the last month.
Moreover, the maximum temperature in interior regions of the state has remained 35 degrees Celsius, while it is over 33 degrees Celsius in coastal areas.
However, in the last week of November, the temperature dropped slightly. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature in Mumbai fell under 20 degrees Celsius only two times this November. The MeT bureau clarified that while temperatures have dropped and may remain low for the next couple of days, winters were still at least a month away.
Moreover, reports had suggested that Mumbai is likely to witness a drop in the minimum temperature by the end of December, during Christmas.
