The voting process for the Thane Municipal Corporation General Election 2025–26 will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2026. For this election process, a large number of buses from the Thane Transport Service will be deployed for election-related duties. Approximately 75 percent of the transport service buses will be made available for election work from January 14 to January 15, 2026.
A total of 275 buses will be supplied for the election process on January 14 and January 15, 2026. Consequently, only 80 to 85 buses will operate on various routes within the city from morning until 3:00 pm on January 14, 2026, and after 4:00 pm on January 15, 2026.
During this period, transport buses will continue to operate on a limited basis across all routes. The transport department has appealed to passengers to cooperate with the transport service by using alternative modes of transportation.
