The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to reduce the water supply by 10 percent as a precautionary measure in order to use this stock for a longer period of time. Due to this, 10 percent water reduction has been implemented from June 05 in some areas of Thane city, which is supplied with water from the BMC.
Thane municipal area receives 85 MLD of water from the BMC water sources. This water is supplied to Naupada, Pachapakhadi, Hazuri, Louiswadi, Raghunath Nagar, Namdev Wadi, Sainath Nagar, Ramchandra Nagar 1, Kisan Nagar No. 1, Kisan Nagar No. 2, Shivaji Nagar, Padwal Nagar, Janata Zhopadpatti, Shivshakti Nagar, Karwalo Nagar from this water reservoir in the Municipal Corporation limits. , Ambika Nagar, Dnyaneshwar Nagar, Jai Bhavani Nagar, Kajuwadi, Jijamata Nagar, Balkum Pada No 1, Laxmi Nagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Manpada (Nalpada), Kopri Dhobighat, Gavdevi (Louiswadi) Water Tank, Tekdi Bunglow Water Tank, Bhatwadi, Indira Nagar, Anand Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kopri Kanhaiya Nagar. Now, a 10 percent water reduction has been implemented in this area.
Citizens have been appealed to keep the necessary stock of water during this water cut period and use it sparingly and cooperate with the Thane Municipal Corporation.
