Thane, Kalyan, Vasai-Virar including Mumbai have been receiving record breaking rains since yesterday. Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and surrounding areas recorded rainfall of up to 102 mm. Thane has received 121 mm of rain, Karjat 292 mm, Kalyan 141 mm and Neral 171 mm. On the one hand, there is good news for Mumbaikars troubled by the cancellation of local trains and incidents of water-logging in the rains.


According to ANI, Tulsi Lake, one of the many lakes that supplies water to the city of Mumbai, has overflowed due to heavy rains. The municipal administration has given information about the water overflowing in this lake.
