In a shocking incident, an explosion took place in a house on Wednesday night, October 13, at Bhajiwaii Chawl in Poisar area of Kandivali (East), Mumbai.

According to reports, what caught attention was that the blast was caused by a TV. Official said that while the mother and kid were watching the television at around 8 pm and it suddenly exploded. Following which, the house caught fire after the TV exploded.

The explosion was so strong that the TV got blown up and the entire TV was burnt to ashes. However, both the child and the woman survived the accident. Fortunately, no causality was reported in this accident.

According to family members, the TV belonged to Samsung. Moreover, the items kept in the house have also been damaged due to the sudden blast in the TV set. Not only this, the clothes and curtains kept in the house also caught fire. While no one was sitting in front of the TV, otherwise there could have been loss of life and property in this accident.

The blast has spread fear among all the citizens living in the chawl. As soon as the officers of Samata Nagar police station came to know about the incident, the police reached the spot and took stock of the incident.
