Soon, Mumbaikars might get a chance to travel from Mumbai to Dubai and vice versa via an underwater rail link. According to a report in Khaleej Times, UAE is planning to develop underwater rail link between Fujairah, UAE and Mumbai, India.

Apart from the rail network passenger transit, there are plans of facilitating goods exchange from India to UAE and oil export through a pipeline as well, stated the report.

Alshehhi further said that initially there will be a feasibility study of the project to find out whether it is possible for such a rail network to work.
