NGO president booked for allegedly extorting money from Universal school's chairman

NGO President Jayant Jain booked in the case of extorting money from Jesus Lall, chairman of Universal High School. Jayant Jain has demanded Rs 25 lakh by sending e-mail on official ID of Jesus Lall. Lall alleged that Jain had threatened him saying that he will instigate students' parent against the school management.

Jain retorted the e-mail saying this sort of things will not be entertained. Another e-mail was sent from the same account. This e-mail contained an unnamed bank account asking for money transfer.

On the other hand, Jayant Jain has denied all the allegations stating that his account was hacked. The hacker has sent the e-mails. Someone is trying to trap me by raising such issues. "The hacker has sent an email from my ID and used my brother's account number to malign my name," stated Jayant Jain.

Police have registered the case against Jayant Jain for extortion and are investigation the authenticity of emails. Police are verifying claims of Lall as it is not clear from the emails said Subhash Sawant, Senior Police Inspector of Dahisar Police Station.
