The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has announced that there will be no water supply in the areas under its jurisdiction on Friday, October 6. This development came as water treatment plant at Mohili will remain closed.

The water treatment plant at Mohili of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipality on the Ulhas River receives electricity from the Maharashtra State Distribution Company. Owing to this, the water supply to Kalyan, Dombivli and rural areas will be affected for 12 hours, from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday, an official statement noted.

However, the citizens should keep proper storage of water, the water will be supplied at low pressure on the second day of the shutdown in the area. officials added.

Electricity is supplied to the municipality's 150 million liter capacity pumping station at Mohili and the water purification plant at the same location from Mahavitaran's Tata Power Kamba sub-station. The maintenance and repair work of the feeder in this sub-centre will be done from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday.

These Areas Will Be Affected:

From Mohili Water Purification Center to Kalyan Rural Division (Titwala, Wadvali, Ambivali, Shahad, Attali and other villages of Kalyan Rural Division) and Dombivli (East and West) as well as Bhoirwadi, Rambagh, Chikanghar, Gholpanag, Milindnagar, Yogidham, Murbad Road, Ashok in Kalyan West Division. Nagar, Valdhuni, Shivaji Nagar, Joshi Bagh, Birla College to Khadakpada Road and Kalyan railway station.
