Information is coming to the fore that a pipeline has burst in Andheri, Mumbai. There was water in the area due to the rupture of the pipeline. Also millions of litres of water was wasted. No information was received as to what exactly caused the pipeline to burst. The BMC is inspecting the area.


Currently, the repair work is going on in this area by the municipality. The pipeline burst at around 3:00 pm. The force of the water was such that the water flowed up to 5-6 feet. But the municipality rushed to the spot and stopped the flowing water. By then the area was flooded.


According to the information provided by the BMC, the residents of Lokhandwala area of Andheri may face water shortage. Repair work is currently underway. The extent of damage to the pipeline will be seen through the camera. Inspect the damage to know how much repair is required.


Water has accumulated on both sides of the road due to a burst water pipeline in front of Infinity Mall. Due to this, the traffic is running at a slow speed and some urgent changes have been made. At present, the pipe repair work of BMC is going on and it will be done by tomorrow afternoon

Traffic changes are as follows

1-Traffic coming from Lion Soul Road towards Old Lokhandwala Road is diverted to New Link Road on the left near Hotel Flag Junction.


2- The traffic coming from Swami Samarth Circle has been diverted directly to New Link Road instead of leaving it to Old Lokhandwala Road. 100 to 150 metres have been closed at Old Lokhandwala Road.
