After a prolonged spell of rain, the coming week in Mumbai is expected to remain dry. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), only moderate rainfall is likely to continue over the city for the next five days. The weather department has not issued any warnings for Mumbai or the Konkan region at least until Friday.

Throughout the past week, the city experienced intermittent light to moderate showers and cloudy skies. Meteorologists attributed the persistent rainfall to a low-pressure area forming over the Bay of Bengal and an active cyclonic circulation, along with a trough line extending from Rajasthan to Jharkhand. Given the active systems, the IMD had issued a yellow alert for Mumbai and surrounding districts until Sunday morning.
