King's Circle - If you are at King' Circle station and looking for a quick snack, perish the thought. Since 2014, the food stalls on the platforms at this railway station that is used by harbour line commuters as well as those wanting to connect to the western line, have been closed down for want of sellers. The station sees a daily footfall of over 1000 commuters. The high rents charged for the stalls - Rs 18,000 - has put off food stall contractors, says station master N K Sinha. Ergo, carry your own packet of chips if you are bound to feel peckish at this station.
