Social Justice Minister Rajkumar Badole assured that the government will provide a subsidy of ₹900 per month to all specially-abled people living in hostels run by the Social Justice Department and the government will also be attentive towards their needs by coming forth with a decision regarding the matter within a month. Legislator Hemant Takle and Husnbanu Khalifa have demanded the subsidy amount to be raised to ₹1,500.


685 grants for hostels closed

According to the order of September 21, 2015, grants have been stopped for the last one year due to the original approval order of 685 out of total 2,388 hostel hostels run by the Social Justice Department and NGOs and other non-government organizations. The Legislative Council has demanded to withdraw the decision because millions of students are being inconvenienced due to this decision.


Women are not being taken care of

Women are not being properly taken care of in a female hostel of Nashik. Girls are facing a lot of problems like lack of adequate food and supply sanitary napkins.
